Societal Response for Development (SRD) South Sudan was founded in 2009 by a group of young university students who were deeply moved by the immense suffering they witnessed in their communities.

Their vision was clear: to create an organization that would empower people, promote justice, and drive sustainable development.

Since its inception, SRD South Sudan has been dedicated to fostering sustainable, equitable, and participatory growth. Through innovative programs and community driven solutions, the organization works tirelessly to improve the quality of life for South Sudanese citizens, especially those from disadvantaged and marginalized groups.


Position Responsibility
Board of Directors (BoDs) Governing council responsible for the organization’s overall operations as outlined in the constitution.
Executive Director Oversees the execution of strategies and operational activities.
Deputy Executive Director Supports the Executive Director and ensures smooth implementation of organizational plans.
Secretary General Manages documentation, correspondence, and administrative coordination.
Finance Member Oversees financial management, budget planning, and auditing.
Additional Member Contributes to decision-making and organizational effectiveness.

The Board of Directors meets regularly at the headquarters in Juba to deliberate on strategies, budgets, audits, governance, and administrative matters to ensure SRD’s mission is effectively fulfilled.
